On 9-13 June 2014, a CASS Delegation led by Professor Li Lin, Director of CASS Law Institute, visited Finland and participated in the Sixth Sino-Finnish Seminar on Comparative Law.
On 10 June, the delegation, accompanied by Professor Kimmo Noutio, Dean of the Law School of Helsinki University, visited the Finnish Parliament and held talks with Dr. Jari Pirjola, a senior official at the Ombusdsman’s Office, and Mr. Johannes Koskinen, Chairman of the Finnish Constitutional Committee.
On June 11-12, the delegation participated in the Sixth Sino-Finnish Seminar on Comparative Law in Turku. During the two-day seminar, the participants carried out discussions and exchange of opinions on such issues as the judicial review in Chinese Criminal Procedure Law, the scope of accepting cases of Chinese administrative litigation, legal regulation of collective labor relationship, employee participation and localization of approaches to corporate governance, institutions and practice of judicial transparency, administration of justice and the mass media, and the direction of reform of the taxation system in China.
