On February 24, 2014, the Director of CASS Institution of International Law, Professor Chen Zexian, met with the Danish Minister for Trade and Development Cooperation, Mr. Mogens Jensen. During the meeting, Professor Chen Zexian briefed Mr. Jensen on the new trends of developments in the construction of socialist rule of law in China after the Eighteen National Congress of the CPC and answered some questions raised Mr. Jensen regarding the construction of a law-based state, a law-based government, and a law-based society in China. Also participating in the meeting were Mr. Friis Arne Petersen, the Danish Ambassador to China, and Professor Xiong Qiuhong, Head of the Department of Procedural Law of CASS Law Institute.

The purpose of the visit by Mr. Mogens Jensen was to promote the cooperation between Denmark and China in the field of trade and social development and to seek new opportunities for deepening the friendly relationship between the two countries.
