Professor Chen Zexian, Director of CASS Institute of International Law, attended the Eleventh Sino-German Seminar on Human Rights, which was held in Geneva and Berlin on June 10-13, 2013. The main theme of the Seminar was the UN Universal Periodic Review System and its implementation. The first part of the seminar was held in Geneva, Switzerland, where the UN Human Rights Council is located, and participated by representatives of various UN human rights organs and relevant human rights organizations. The second part of the seminar was held in Berlin, Germany. At the seminar, Professor Chen Zexian delivered a keynote speech on “The Universal Periodic Review System: Experiences Gained and Problems Found in the First Round of Review”.
