In recent years, terrorism has always been a hot issue around the world and China has also been a direct victim of terrorism. In order to deepen the research on the crime of terrorism, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences established a Research Group on "Social Stability and Anti-Terrorism from the Criminal Law Perspective", which has conducted careful research on the successful experience gained as well as lessons learnt by various countries in fighting terrorism with legal, especially criminal law, measures, carried out special investigations in Xinjiang and Tibet, published a number of internal research reports, and organized a national academic seminar on "Social Stability and Ant-Terrorism" in Beijing. This book is a compilation and summarization of a series of results achieved made by the Research Group in the above-mentioned activities. The book consists of the following five chapters: the Crime of Terrorism from the Criminal Law Perspective; the Criminological Perspective of Terrorism; Ant-Terrorism in Special Fields; Ant-Terrorism from International Perspective; and Protection of Human Rights in the Fight against Terrorism.
