On August 12, 2014, the Seminar on “The Relationship Between Jurisprudence and Branch Law Sciences: from the Perspective of Teaching Materials on Jurisprudence”, organized under the Innovation Project “Changing International Trade Rules and China’s Economic Security”, was held at CASS Law Institute. Over thirty participants, including members of the Innovation Project and scholars and experts from Tsinghua University, Party School of CPC Central Committee, and China University of Political Science and Law, carried out heated debate over the relationship between jurisprudence and branch law sciences at the seminar. The seminar was chaired by Professor Huang Dongli. Dr. Tian Fu gave a keynote presentation on “Mechanism for the Production of Guiding Jurisprudential Knowledge and Related Problems” and Professor Lei Lei from China University of Political Science and Law gave a presentation entitled “In What Sense Is Jurisprudence Helpful to Branch Law Sciences?” After the presentations, the participants of the seminar carried out discussions on such issues as the nature of jurisprudence as disciple of law science and the relationship between jurisprudence and branch law sciences.
