The Seminar on “the Rule of Law and Reform” Held in Beijing

On June 22, 2014, the academic seminar on “the Rule of Law and Reform”, jointly organized by CASS Law Institute and the Editorial Office of Global Law Review, was held in Beijing. The Seminar was participated by near 50 scholars and experts from the CASS Law Institute, CASS Institute of International Law, Renmin University of China, the Central Party School, the Capital University of Economics and Business, and China University of Political Science and Law and chaired by Professor Chen Su, the Secretary of the Joint Party Committee of the CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law. Professor Li Lin, Director of CASS Law Institute, and Professor Liu Zuoxiang, Editor-in-Chief of Global Law Review, addressed the opening ceremony. During the one-day seminar, participants carried out in-depth exchange of opinions and explorations on the issue of “the rule of law and reform” from the perspectives of “the rule of law and the legal theory on reform”, “judicial reform”, “the rule of law and politics” and “history and experience of the rule of law”.
