The Think Tank Roundtable on “Economic New Normal and the Development of the Rule of Law in China” Held in Nanjing

On May 21, 2016, the Think Tank Roundtable on “Economic New Normal and the Development of the Rule of Law in China”, jointly organized by the Editorial Board of Legal Science, Institute for Chinese Modernization Studies and Law School of Nanjing Normal University, was held at Nanjing Normal University. The roundtable was attended by dozens of representatives from various colleges, universities, research institutions, Party, government, and judicial organs, as well as law firms from different parts of the country, including Party School of CPC Central Committee, CASS, Southeast University, Nanjing Normal University, Yangzhou University, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Politics and Law Commission of the Party Committee of Jiangsu Province, the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, the Higher People’s Court of Jiangsu Province, the Party Committee of Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Academy of Social Sciences, Intermediate People’s Court of Wuxi City, and Jiangsu Fund Law Firm. At the roundtable, the participants carried out in-depth discussions on various theoretical and practical issues around the main theme of “Economic New Normal and the Development of the Rule of Law in China” from the perspectives of “economic new normal and law-based economy”, “economic new normal and legal reform”, “economic new normal and the construction of a society under the rule of law” and “economic new normal and the development of branch laws”.
