Seminar on the Interpretation of the New Civil Procedure Law Held in Wuhan

On 19-20, 2015, the Seminar on the Interpretation of the New Civil Procedure Law, jointly organized by China Society of Civil Procedure Law, the Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Law, the Editorial Board of Studies in Law and Business, and the Law School of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, was held at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. The seminar was attended by over 70 experts and scholars from the University of Bremen, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Jilin University, Zhongshan University, Shandong University, Central University of Finance and Economics, China University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Nanjing Normal University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Zhengzhou University, and Xiangtan University, as well as editors from various law journals, including Chinese Journal of Law, Studies in Law and Business, the Jurists, Global Law Review, and Contemporary Law Review. The seminar was divided into five units, in which the participants gave keynote speeches and carried out in-depth discussions on various issues relating to the interpretation of the new Civil Procedure Law, such as small claims and public interest procedures, jurisdiction and parties to lawsuits, trial procedures, and execution procedures.
