Professor Zhang Huanguang Awarded the Prize of “Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Administrative Law”

On August 22, 2015, the Annual Conference of China Administrative Law Society and the Conference in Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of China Administrative Law Society was held in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. At the Conference, Professor Zhang Huanguang, a retired research fellow of CASS Law Institute, was awarded the prize of “Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Administrative Law”, the highest prize in the field of administrative law in China. Professor Zhang Huanguang had been a researcher at the Department of Administrative Law of CASS Law Institute between 1979 and 1999. He has also held the positions of Vice Chairman of China Administrative Law Society, member of Administrative Law-Making Group of Legislative Affairs Commission of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and Professor at Peking University. He has participated in the drafting or the revision of many Chinese laws, including the Election Law, the Constitution, the Law on Civil Servants, the Legislation Law, and the Administrative Procedure Law; and he has published over 23 books and 58 articles in the field of administrative law.
