Marxist Principles of Jurisprudence

Li Buyun and Gao Quanxi (eds.), Marxist Principles of Jurisprudence, Beijing: Social Sciences Academic Press, 2014.

This book introduces the Marxist principles of jurisprudence as a scientific, developing and vibrant theoretical system. Since the theoretical summarization of the practice of socialist rule of law since the reform and opening up has made the systematic theoretical work of building a socialist legal theory an important component of the construction of Marxist legal theory, this book mainly explores the question of how to combine Marxist principles of jurisprudence with the construction of the rule of law and to build a socialist system of legal theory with Chinese characteristics.

This book also tries to explore the following question from the jurisprudential perspective: the dialectic relationship between the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the people being masters of their own country, and ruling the country by law; the relationship between administration for the people, democratic administration, and scientific administration; the position of the principle of taking people as the root and administration for the people in the political and legal practice in China; and significance and the role of the rule of law in the construction of a harmonious society.
