On August 30, 2014, the Academic Seminar on “the Revision of the Copyright Law and the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights of TV and Radio Programs on Sport Events”, organized by CASS Center for Intellectual Property Rights Studies, was held in Beijing. The Seminar was chaired by Professor Li Mingde, Director of the Center, and participated by about thirty experts, scholars and graduate students from such organizations as the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council, the Supreme People’s Court, the Higher People’s Court of Beijing Municipality, the First Intermediate Court of Beijing Municipality, the Second Intermediate Court of Beijing Municipality, the People’s Court of Haidian District, the People’s Court of Chaoyang District, Peking University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of International Business and Economics, and organizers of sports events and producers of TV and radio programs on sports events.
