On 18, August 2014, a seven-member judicial delegation from the State of Maryland, U.S.A, led Mrs. Catherine O’Malley, a judge of the District Court of Maryland, visited CASS Law Institute and held a meeting with scholars of the Institute. The Meeting was chaired by Professor Mo Jihong, Deputy Director of CASS Law Institute and participated by Professor Xie Zengyi, Head of the Research Administration and Foreign Affairs Department of the Institute, and Professors Xiong Qiuhong, Zhu Xiaoqing, Xue Ninglan, and Wang Xuemei of the CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law. During the meeting, the hosts and guests carried out in-depth exchanges on such issues as anti-domestic violence legislation, financial support to the combat against domestic violence, the judicial system and judicial assessment in Maryland, and the cooperation between judicial organs and academic institutions.
