In the afternoon of August 18, 2014, a five-member delegation of Nepalese legal experts, led by Hon. Ram Narayan Bidari, a member of Nepal Constituent Assembly, visited CASS Law Institute and held a meeting with scholars of the Institute. The meeting was chaired by Professor Mo Jihong, Deputy Director of CASS Law Institute, and participated by Professor Xie Zengyi, Head of the Research Administration and Foreign Affairs Department of the Institute, and Professors Liu Haibo, Huang Jinrong, Zhi Zhenfeng, Liu Xiaomei, and Dai Ruijun of the Institute. During the meeting Professor Mo Jihong, at the request of the Nepalese guests, reviewed the process of formulation and adoption of the 1982 Constitution in China and the main form of participation and the role played by the scholars of CASS Law Institute in the formulation of the 1982 Constitution. The scholars of the CASS Law Institute also answered the questions raised by members of the Nepalese delegation on the choice of basic state political system faced by Nepal in the current process of formulation of constitution.
