On June 18, 2014, Professor Mo Jihong, Deputy Director of CASS Law Institute, was elected Vice President of the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL) at a meeting of the Executive Committee of IACL held in Oslo, Norway. This was the first time a Chinese scholar was elected a vice chairman of the IACL since its establishment in 1981. According to the Constitution of the Statute of the IACL, Professor Mo is elected for a period of four years and is re-eligible. During his term of office, he will be able to contribute to the academic exchange and cooperation between China and international community in the field of constitutional law and further improve the international standing and influence of Chinese constitutional law circle.
