The Fourth Innovation Forum in 2014: “Several Issues relating to the Construction of the Legal System of Shanghai Free Trade Area” Held at CASS Law Institute
In the afternoon of May 6, 2014, the Fourth Innovation Forum in 2014 was held at CASS Law Institute. At the Forum, Professor Liao Fan, the Chief Research of the Innovation Project “International Law Issues relating to the Construction of a New Open Economic System”, gave a lecture on several issues relating to the construction of the legal system of Shanghai Free Trade Area. In his lecture, Professor Liao discussed the construction of the legal system of Shanghai Free Trade Area from the following five perspectives: the basic nature and position of Shanghai Free Trade Area, the background and the process of the establishment of Shanghai Free Trade Area, the promotion of the liberalization of trade, the promotion of the liberalization of investment, and the promotion of the liberalization of finance. The lecture was chaired by Mr. Zhang Wen Guang, an executive researcher of the Project. Mr. Huang Jin, an assistant researcher of the Project, served as commentator of the lecture.
