The Third Chinese Comparative Law Forum: “Comparative Study on Judicial System of Intellectual Property Rights” Held in Beijing

On April 26, 2014, the Third Chinese Comparative Law Forum: “Comparative Study on Judicial System of Intellectual Property Rights” was held at the International Conference Room of Beijing Foreign Studies University. Over 50 experts and scholars in the field of comparative law and intellectual property law, including Professor Liu Zhaoxing, Chairman of the Comparative Law Research Committee of China Law Society, Professor Zhang Shaoyu, Secretary-General of the Comparative Law Research Committee of China Law Society, Professor Jiang Zhipei, the former President of the IPR Division of the Supreme People’s Court, Mr. Tom Duke, UK IP Attaché to China, and Mr. Jean-Baptiste Barbier, the French IP Attaché to China, attended the Forum and carried out discussions on such issues as IP judicial systems in different countries, the establishment of IP courts in China, judicial remedies to the infringements of IPR, standard-essential patent litigation, judicial regulation of IP infringement in free trade areas, and methodology of comparative law and IPR Law.
