Recently new academic periodical entitled "Studies in International Law"has been approved by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. The periodical, a bimonthly journal published in Chinese language, is jointly sponsored by CASS Institute of International Law and Social Sciences Academic Press. The purposes of the periodical are to promote in-depth, comprehensive, and accurate research on institutions and concepts of international law, to reflect the latest trends of development of international law theories and the relevant legal institutions, both in China and abroad, to provide theoretical and intellectual support to the Party and the state in the handling of foreign relations and important international affairs, and to create an academic platform in the field of international law.The Journal will mainly consist of the following parts: articles, commentaries, international law practice and trend of development in international law, and book reviews. Both international law scholars and experts, both in China and abroad, are sincerely invited to contribute to the Journal. There is no limitation on the length of contributions. However, all contributions should be based on careful research. A blind review system will be used for the assessment of the contributions and the academic quality will be the only standard used for the assessment. Once a contribution is accepted by the Journal, the contributor will be remunerated.
