On January 14, the delegation visited the Law School of Sungkyunkwan University and signed an Agreement on Academic Exchange and Cooperation with the Law School. According to the agreement, the CASS Law Institute and the Law School of Sungkyunkwan University will exchange scholars, students, legal information, and legal materials, and jointly organize academic seminars.
In the morning of January 15, the delegation visited the National Assembly of South Korea where it carried out investigation on the history, the structure, the main functions and the composition of the National Assembly of South Korea and on the election and representative systems in South Korea.
In the afternoon of January 15, the members of the delegation participated in the “International Seminar on the Protection of Personal ID Numbers”, which was sponsored by Korea Internet & Security Agency and the South Korean Society of Personal Information Protection Law and attended by over 70 scholars and experts from all over the world.
On January 14, the delegation visited Ministry of Public Administration and Security and held a meeting with an official in charge of political reform and the reform of the administrative system.
The visit increased the international influence of the CASS Law Institute, strengthened the communication and friendship between the Chinese and South Korean law circles, deepened their mutual understanding, and therefore was of great significance to expanding the liaison and cooperation between the CASS Law Institute and South Korean law circles.
