Professor Liu Renwen, Head of the Criminal Law Department of the CASS Law Institute, also attended the meeting. In return, Mr. Koung briefed his Chinese hosts on the current situation of legal research, especially the impact of the economic reform on legal reform, in Cuba. He pointed out that China, in order to adapt to economic reform, had adopted a series of legal reform and accumulated precious experiences in this process. Since Cuba and China had similar social system and reform objectives, the Chinese experience was very useful to Cuba.
