Call for Papers: International Seminar on Chinese Characteristics of the Rule of Law in a Time of Transition

Currently the Chinese society is undergoing a process of transition and is faced with many opportunities and challenges. In order to further compare and draw on the experiences of countries and regions with advance systems of the rule of law and to provide knowledge support for the current transition to the rule of law in China, the Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Law of CASS Law Institute and the Centre for Chinese and Comparative Law (RCCL) of City University of Hong Kong are planning to jointly organize an international seminar on the Chinese Characteristics of the Rule of Law in a Time of Transition. We invite experts and scholars from countries and regions around the world, including the U.S. the U.K., Germany, and Australia, to participate in and to submit contributions to the Seminar:

1.Papers are solicited in all areas of interest to the subject of the seminar, and there is no restriction on the length of the paper;

2.Authors of accepted contributions will be invited to the Seminar, to be held at the City University of Hong Kong in late May 2013;

3.A collection of accepted papers will be published after the seminar. Some of these papers will be published in the forms of “conversation by writing” and academic articles.

4.All submissions should be sent in electronic form by email to xiehd@cass.org.cn by April 4, 2013.
