On September 10, 2020, the Supreme Peoples’ Court issued the Guiding Opinions on the Handling of Civil Cases Involving the Protection of Intellectual Property in E-commerce. Recently, Professor Yang Yanchao, Director of the Center for Studies of Technology and Law of CASS Law Institute, was interviewed by Phoenix Satellite Television on the significance of the guiding opinions. In the interview, Professor Yang pointed out that the guiding opinions elaborate on the responsibilities of e-commerce platforms and are conducive to the protection of consumers’ rights and interests.
