The 20th “Thirty-Person Forum of Economic Law”, sponsored by the Economic Law Research Committee of China Law Society (the First Forum on Regional Economic Rule of Law of East China University of Political Science and Law) was successfully held on the Tencent Conference Online Platform on August 20, 2020. The forum was jointly organized by the Economic Law School and Industrial and Regional Economic Law Research Center of East China University of Political Science and Law and attended by over 70 experts and scholars from such universities and research institutions as Peking University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law and CASS Law Institute. At the forum, which was dividied into four sessions, the participants carried out deep explorations on various issues around the theme “the economic law response to coordinated regional development”, such as the economic law interpretation of coordinated regional development, the value and institutional construction of regional economic rule of law, legal issues of regional economic integration, and construction of economic rule of law in special functional zones. Professor Xi Yuemin, a research fellow and the head of the Economic Law Department of CASS Law Institute, gave a keynote speech entitled “the trans-regional and collaborative nature of the regulation of campus loans” at the fourth session of the forum.
