Professor Liao Fan: the background and significance of “Four Actions” in Hong Kong

On September 7, 2019, Professor Liao Fan, a research fellow and the head of Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of CASS Institute of International Law, was interviewed by the China Global TV Network (CGTN) program “Dialogue” on the “Four Actions” put forward by Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, to break the deadlock in Hong Kong. In the interview, Professor Liao mainly discussed the background and significance of the “Four Actions”, the high degree of autonomy enjoyed by the people of Hong Kong, and the people’s livelihood and other economic causes behind the continuous protests in Hong Kong.
