Professor Liao Fan, a research fellow and the head of Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of CASS Institute of International Law, was interviewed by the China Global TV Network (CGTN) Program “World Insight with Tian Wei” on the legal interpretation of the current crisis in Hong Kong on August 8, 2019. In the interview, Professor Liao expressed his opinions on such issues as the public consultation on the Policy Address of Hong Kong Government, the borderline between peaceful gathering and violent activities, and the power of the Central Government to intervene in the crisis situation in Hong Kong.
