Professor Liao Fan, a research fellow and the head of Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of CASS Institute of International Law, was interviewed by the China Global TV Network (CGTN) Channel “China 24” on the current situation in Hong Kong and its future trend of development on August 7, 2019. In the interview, Professor Liao expressed his opinions on such issues as the response of the Hong Kong Government to the current situation, the comprehensive provisions on the “One Country, Two Systems” in the Chinese Constitution and the Basic Law of Hong Kong SAR, and the power of the Central Government to intervene and control the situation in Hong Kong.
