Professor Liu Huawen, Deputy Director of CASS Institute of International Law and Executive Director of CASS Center for Human Rights Studies, was interviewed by China Global Television Network (CGTN) on protecting children from sexual abuse in Asian countries on July 7, 2019. In the interview, Professor Liu pointed out that sexual abuse of children in Asian countries is widespread, analyzed the difficulties faced by these countries fighting against sexual abuse against children and the social and cultural factors behind these difficulties, and put forward recommendations on the legal measures that Asian governments, including the Chinese government, should take in order to deal with this problem.
