Director Chen Su of CASS Law Institute Meets Vice President of University of Macau

 

 

 

A three-member delegation of University of Macau, headed by Professor Su Jilang, Vice President of the University visited CASS Law Institute and held a meeting with Professor Chen Su, Director of the Institute, on November 15, 2019. At the meeting, Professor Chen Su gave the guests a brief introduction to CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, including personnel, disciplines, research departments, traditional preponderant disciplines, and important research projects in recent years. Professor Su Jilang explained the purpose of his visit, which is to promote the exchange and cooperation between his university and CASS Law Institute in the field of legal research. Professor Jiang Chaoyang from the Law School of the University of Macao, expressed hope that CASS Law Institute would provide support to his school in terms of legal education, academic research and law journals and take the Center for Constitution and Basic Law Studies of University of Macao as the platform to carry out cooperation with the University in the publicity of the Constitution and the Basic Law of Macao SAR in Macao. Professor Shui Bing, Director of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, also expressed the wish to cooperate with CASS Law Institute in the exchange of personnel and research projects.

 

 

 

 At the end of the meeting, the hosts and guests reached broad consensuses on the exchange of personnel and publications, joint research and the education of graduate students, and would soon draft a concrete cooperation agreement between the Institute and the University, so as to contribute to the academic exchange between the Mainland and Macao, the summarization of the successful experience of Macao SAR, and the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiatives.

 

Also attending the meeting were Professor Zhang Sheng, Head of the Department of Legal History of CASS Law Institute, and Professor Xie Zengyi, Head of the Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of the Institute.
