Professor Li Lin Attends the Expert Colloquium on “Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the CPC”

 

The Expert Colloquium on “Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the CPC”, jointly sponsored by the State Governance Institute of Tsinghua University and the Editorial Board of State Governance Weekly, was held in Beijing on November 4, 2019.

 

The colloquium was attended by a number of experts and scholars from various research institutions and universities as well as Party and government organs in China, including China Law Society, Tsinghua University, China Academy of Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Renmin University of China, the Party School of CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance), China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing Normal University, National Defence University of People's Liberation Army, China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation, Beihang University, and CASS.

 

 At the colloquium, presided over by Professor Lin Laifen, Deputy Director of the State Governance Institute of Tsinghua University, and Mr. Sun Modi, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the People’s Forum, the participants carried out deep-going discussions and put forward many constructive proposals around the topic of the theoretical thinking on and ways of implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the CPC from such perspectives as the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and its unique advantages, the logic relationship between state governance system and the system of socialist rule of law, the institutional cipher of governance in China, ways in which the modernization of governance can better guide high-quality development and high-level social construction, and ways of transforming institutional advantage into governance effect.

 

Among the participants of the colloquium were two scholars from CASS Law Institute: Professor Li Lin, a former director of the institute and current member of CASS Academic Committee, and Professor Zhi Zhenfeng, a research fellow and the deputy editor-in-chief of Global Law Review.
