The Seminar on the Construction of the Rule of Law in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, sponsored by the Rule of Law Collaborative Innovation Center of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, was held in Hengqin New District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province on July 20, 2019. The seminar, aimed at exploring ways of providing law-of-law safeguard for and promoting rule of law innovation in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, was attended by experts and scholars from CASS Law Institute, Peking University, Shenzhen University,
Hong Kong University, Macao University, Guangzhou University, and Hong Kong Bar Association, officials from the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Zhuhai City, the Hengqin New District Administration Committee of Zhuhai City, the People’s Courts and the People’s Procuratorate, the Reform and Development Bureau, the Financial Bureau, the Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau, and the Anti-Corruption Office of Hengqin New District, Zhuhai City, as well as lawyers from various law firms in the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. At the seminar, which was divided into four units, the participants exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues relating to the compatibility of the relevant rules and the collaboration and sharing of resources in the field of the rule of between the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao.
