Patent office set up in Lhasa

BEIJING -- China's National Intellectual Property Administration has set up a patent office in Lhasa, capital city of Tibet autonomous region.

The office has begun business since Monday. Approved in 2017, it is the 34th patent office set up by the administration across the country.

The launch of the Lhasa patent office will help strengthen cooperation and communication between the industry watchdog and the local government, said a statement released by the NIPA.

In addition, it will optimize the local intellectual property environment, improve patent application services and stimulate creativity and vitality of local enterprises.
