Young Chinese-Peruvian China Roots Tour Winter Camp Theme Exchange Activities Held in Beijing

The Young Chinese-Peruvian China Roots Tour Winter Camp Theme Exchange Activities, organized by the Center for the Publicity of Law and Public Law Research of CASS Institute, was held in Beijing on January 11, 2020.

On the morning of January 11, a delegation of over 60 young Chinese-Peruvian high school students, accompanied by staff members of the Center for the Publicity of Law and Public Law Research of CASS Institute, visited Jinshan Park, where they had a panoramic view of the Forbidden City, entered into the famous “Constitutional Law Coffee House to experience the new form of publicity of the rule of law, and visited the “Red Building of Peking University”, namely Beijing Museum of New Culture Movement, where they learnt about the glorious tradition of the May 4 Movement and had a personal experience of the spirit of the May 4 Movement, namely “patriotism, progress, democracy, and science”.

After the tour, the delegation visited CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law where they attended a theme exchange meeting “Me and My motherland” with some of the scholars of the two institute. During the meeting, members of the delegation listened to a lecture given Professor Mo Jihong, watched a video commemorating the tenth anniversary of the establishment of CASS Institute of International Law, and exchanged views with researchers of the two institutes and the graduate students and PhD candidates of the CASS Graduate School. The activities have deepened the understanding, enhanced the friendless and laid a good foundation for the future exchange and cooperation between Chinese and Peruvian young people.
