Professor Xie Hongfei Attends the Seminar on the Compilation of the Civil Code and the Modernization of State Governance System and Capacity

 

The Seminar on the Compilation of the Civil Code and the Modernization of State Governance System and Capacity, sponsored by the Civil Law Research Committee of China Law Society and jointly organized by the Law School and the Civil Law Research Center of Renmin University of China, was held at the Law School of Renmin University of China in Beijing on January 18, 2020. The seminar was attended by over 80 experts and scholars, including officials from the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National Peoples Congress and Real Estate Market Supervision Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development, various universities and research institutions, as well as such mass media as the Peoples Daily, Guangming Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China News Service, Legal Daily, China Economic Net, Peoples Court Daily, Peoples Procuratorate Daily, JCRB.Com, the Beijing News, China Law Review, and Democracy and Law. Professor Xie Hongfei, a research fellow and the head of the Civil Law Department of CASS Law Institute and the vice chairman of the Civil Law Research Committee of China Law Society, attended the seminar and gave a keynote speech entitled the Sequential Arrangement of Various Parts of the Civil Code at the seminar.
