Professor Mo Jihong: Carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution and promoting the modernization of state governance system and capacity

 

On December 4, 2019, the sixth National Constitutional Day, Professor Mo Jihong, Director of CASS Institute of International Law, was interviewed by CCTV program "Network News Broadcast" on ways of carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution and promoting the modernization of state governance system and capacity. In the interview, Professor Mo pointed out that: “Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping as its core has adopted a series of measures and achieved major breakthroughs in legislation, law enforcement, administration of justice, observance of law, and other state and legal systems, comprehensively implemented the national strategy of ruling the country by law, and forcefully promoted the modernization of state governance system and capacity.” With the successive formulation and adoption of laws and regulations relating to major strategic arrangements of the state and continuous implementation of new measures in important fields and key links of the construction of the rule of law, the spirit of the rule of law with the Constitution as its foundation is taking root on the land of China.
