Professor Chen Su Attends the Mid-term Assessment and the Assessment of Thesis Proposal of Post-doctoral Programs on the Construction of the Rule of Law in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

 

 

The Mid-term Assessment and the Assessment of Thesis Proposal of Post-doctoral Programs on the Construction of the Rule of Law in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held at Zhuhai Hengqin Innovation and Development Research Institute on September 25, 2020. The assessment group consists of Professor Chen Su, Professor He Hairen and Professor Chen Xinxin from CASS Law Institute, Professor Dong Hao from the Public Law Research Center of Guangzhou University, Professor Zhang Zhiming, Dean of the Law School of East China Normal University, and Professor Zhang Xianchu from the Law School of Hong Kong University. Professor Chen Su served as the leader of the assessment group.

  At the assessment meeting, Dr. Deng Weiqiang, Dr. Kong Jieqiong and Dr. Wang Yirong each gave a mid-term report on their post-doctoral program on the dispute mediation mechanism in western Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the construction of trust legal system in Macao, and promoting the coordinated development of the legal system in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by giving full play to the “two systems” within “one country”, respectively. The experts of the assessment group gave positive assessment to the results so far achieved by the post-doctoral researchers under their respective research programs and provided them with detailed guidance on the solution of the problems they have encountered in their researches and on the emphases and directions of their future researches.

  Next, the assessment of the thesis proposals of new post-doctoral programs was held. Dr. Feng Hanmeihao, Dr. Yuanwu Rige and Dr. Wang Xiaoxiang each introduced his thesis proposal on the innovation of the demonstration system of deep integration of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in Hengqin New District, the current situation of cross-border crimes in Guangdong and Macao and countermeasures thereof, and the cyber environment convergence legal system in Hengqin and Macao, respectively. The assessment group gave a positive assessment of the thesis proposals and put forward guiding opinions on the direction, framework and expected results of the programs. All the post-doctoral research programs have successfully passed the assessment.
