This book is the result of a joint effort made by the CASS Key Discipline of Criminal Law and some colleagues in the Chinese criminal law circle, published in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. The book consists of five parts: “a review of the development of criminal law in China in the past 70 years since the establishment of the People’s Republic”, ”social changes and the expansion of the criminal law”, “the crime-punishment relationship and the improvement of the criminal penalty structure”, “the frontier issues of cybercrime”, and “the integration of criminal law science and the multidimensional criminal law science”, each made up of several carefully selected representative articles. This book and two previously published books, the Development of Criminal Law in Social Changes and Social Changes and the New Era of Criminal Law Science, constitutes a trilogy of the thematic study of “social changes and development of criminal law”.
